Spring Cleaning

Spring has bloomed in Tulsa, transforming the chilly winter blues into renewed hope of growth and creation. And it is time, once again, for me to reawaken my creative spirit.

We all make promises to ourselves to start anew, to begin projects (or complete them), to be more dedicated. Sometimes another year passing will instigate self reflection, perhaps a holiday while other times change is spontaneous.

I seem to have a pattern. Every spring, while I am cleaning out my drawers of receipts and papers that can only make me wonder why I thought it was worth saving in the first place, I begin to clean out my mind of the junk I have stuffed inside. I decide it is time to replace my naps with reading time. Perhaps I should begin a writing project instead of watching yet another episode of "Glee". And maybe more productive than staring at the wall while petting my dog would be some yoga, or a run.

So restarting this blog is my ditch effort, once again, of introducing an outlet for growth and creativity in my life. A place to let my mind blossom and ideas come to fruition.

I used to believe that I wrote in the blog for you, my reader. But who am I kidding? Sure you may be entertained or merely like to know that I am still alive and capable of blabbing on for a few paragraphs or hell, for all I know my eyes are the only ones to ever read these words. But none of that should matter in the end. Because I get something out of the deal. My renewed attempt at consistently writing may lead me to unexpected conclusions or at least a mild sense of accomplishment.

So here is goes....once again.
